Translation:
From Sahl ibn Sa‘d (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
“The people were commanded that a man should place his right hand over his left forearm during the prayer.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Adhan, Chapter: Placing the right hand over the left, Hadith 740)
The Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him peace), when he prayed, would lower his head and keep his gaze towards the ground.
Ibn Hibban (vol. 4, p. 332) and al-Hakim (vol. 1, p. 625) narrated that ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
“The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and give him peace) entered the Ka‘bah, and his gaze did not go beyond the place of his prostration until he came out.”
