there is no any difference between men’s and women’s prayer:
Most hadith scholars, such as Imam al-Bukhari, Imam Muslim, Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Hibban, and others, hold that the basic manner of prayer for men and women is the same. This is based on the statement of the Prophet ﷺ:
صَلُّوا كَمَا رَأَيْتُمُونِي أُصَلِّي
“Pray as you have seen me pray.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 631)
This hadith is general and applies to both men and women.
The scholars of hadith have said that if there were any difference between the prayer of men and women, the Prophet ﷺ would have clarified it. There is no authentic hadith that establishes any difference between the way men and women perform prayer.
What has been narrated from some Companions or Followers (Tabi‘in) about women being “more compact” or “more gathered” in their movements during prayer is interpreted as a matter of modesty and covering, not as a difference in the essential method of prayer.
According to authentic hadiths and the consensus of the majority of hadith scholars, the manner of prayer for men and women is the same, and the Prophet ﷺ did not specify any difference. The scholars of hadith and researchers such as al-Nawawi, Ibn Hajar, and al-Albani have emphasized that the original rule is equality in the prayer of men and women, except that a woman may choose a more modest posture out of shyness and concealment.
